Kevin Williams focuses his practice on labor and transportation law. He manages various cases in federal courts and in arbitration, including discovery, motions, brief writing and litigation. He frequently speaks before trade and legal associations on various transportation regulatory issues, including the federal hours of service rules changes, the federal OSHA reform, federal cargo liability rules and federal multi-employer pension law.
Earlier in his career Kevin served as General Counsel and then President of Distribution & LTL Carriers Association, a national trade association, where he managed the overall operations of this less-than-truckload trucking company with operations throughout the United States. He also served as the General Counsel for the Regular Common Carrier Conference of the American Trucking Association. In this role, Kevin represented the association in the major transportation regulatory and court proceedings involving deregulation, antitrust immunity, intrastate regulatory operations and safety compliance.
He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court and before several federal courts including the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the District of Columbia and the Fourth and Eighth Circuits.
Kevin has written numerous articles published in a number of transportation publications including Transport Topics and Traffic World on topics including drug testing, model tort reform, federal cargo liability rules and federal multi-employer pension law.
