Mr. Ryan specializes in advising the management teams and directors of financial institutions on the strategic options associated with and the execution of various merger, acquisition, and capital formation transactions, in addition to providing valuation and other strategic evaluations. Mr. Ryan has worked on a wide variety of transactions in the financial services sector for both publicly traded and private commercial banks, savings institutions, insurance companies and specialty finance companies. Mr. Ryan has over nine years of experience in various capacities working with financial institutions and has assisted with the execution of a large number of transactions valued in excess of $4 billion.
Before joining Hovde Financial, Mr. Ryan worked for Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P., a national investment banking firm focused on financial institutions, in their New York and Atlanta offices. Mr. Ryan has worked with clients located throughout the United States and has a particular focus on the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Mr. Ryan received his undergraduate degree in English from Boston College and his Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance and Accounting from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management. Mr. Ryan is active in the Owen Alumni Association in promoting placements for graduating MBA’s and participating in career development activities for students interested in the finance and investment banking fields. Mr. Ryan is licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as a registered representative (Series 7 and 63).
Mr. Ryan currently resides in Barrington, IL with his wife and two daughters. |
