Kevin C. Daly is an accomplished technology industry veteran with over 30 years of experience guiding innovative start-up organizations toward market leadership. He brings a wealth of data storage expertise to iStor, having played a pivotal role in the success of some of the industry’s most recognized companies. Kevin’s impressive background includes a five-year tenure as CEO of ATL Products, Inc., the pioneer of the first open systems tape libraries and OEM supplier to such companies as Sun Microsystems, EMC and HP. Under his guidance, ATL reached $400 million in annual revenue, culminating in its 1997 IPO and subsequent acquisition by worldwide tape drive leader Quantum Corporation in 1998. Kevin remained CEO of the newly formed entity, Quantum/ATL, and eventually transitioned to CTO of Quantum’s Storage Solutions Group, where he oversaw the development of the first disk-based virtual tape library. Kevin’s prior experience also includes a CEO post with Avamar Technologies, a venture funded start-up that evolved to become the industry’s leading provider of data protection software with deduplication. Avamar was acquired by storage giant EMC in 2006 for $165 million. Kevin is currently the CEO of MAXxess Systems, Inc. a leading supplier of networked electronic security solutions for the commercial, medical and educational markets. He serves on the boards of Danka Business Systems PLC, iStor Networks, Inc., Maxxess Systems, Inc., and Iteris, Inc., and is an advisory board member for his alma mater, Princeton University.
