Kerry leads strategic direction for communications, public policy and public affairs, human resources, real estate and facilities, and ethics and compliance for Regence and its member Plans in Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Serves as chief legal officer and oversees legal functions of the company. Also serves as chief compliance officer.
Kerry has held senior executive positions with ODS Health Plans, HealthFirst Medical Group, and served as the Oregon insurance commissioner, as well as governor's legal counsel and senior policy advisor.
He is on the Public Policy Committee for the Strategic Communications Advisory Council of America's Health Insurance Plans. He also serves on the Legal Division Co-op Board of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
Kerry received his bachelor's degree in English from the University of Rochester and completed his law degree at Yale Law School.
