Kerrie C. Dent's practice focuses on complex civil litigation and white collar criminal defense. She defends corporate officers and other clients in government agency investigations and Congressional investigations.

Prior to joining Stein, Mitchell & Muse, Ms. Dent was a member of King & Spalding's Special Matters & Governmental Investigations Practice Group. While at King & Spalding, Ms. Dent represented pharmaceutical companies and their corporate officers in a variety of civil and criminal matters, including internal corporate investigations, grand jury investigations, and civil appellate cases. She briefed constitutional issues -- in both civil and criminal cases ?for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company and numerous other corporate clients. Ms. Dent also represented clients in investigations by the Office of Independent Counsel.

Ms. Dent received her A.B., magna cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College in 1986. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1989. She also received her M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Virginia. Ms. Dent is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
