Kenneth W. Wimberly, an attorney, has served as Corporate Secretary of AMR Corporation, American Airlines, Inc., and AMR subsidiary companies since July 2006. He coordinates the activities of AMR's Board of Directors, organizes the annual meeting of AMR stockholders, and handles a wide range of legal matters that relate to the corporation and its various subsidiary operations.
Wimberly joined American in 1995 as an Attorney in the Legal Department and held that position until becoming Senior Attorney in 2000. He also served as Assistant Corporate Secretary of AMR Corporation, American and other subsidiaries of AMR from 2001 until his election as Corporate Secretary in 2006. Before joining American, Wimberly was associated with the law firms of Fulbright & Jaworski LLP and Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, both in Dallas, Texas.
A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Tulane University in 1986 and graduated from the Tulane University School of Law in 1989. |
