Kenneth R. Taylor (Ken) has been the Chief Financial Officer for Sierra Bancorp/Bank of the Sierra since 2001. He was previously employed as the Chief Financial Officer for Tokai Bank of California, a multi-billion dollar Los Angeles-based community bank that was acquired by Sanwa Bank California in 2001.
Ken was born and raised in Utah. After doing church service in Japan, he received an undergraduate degree in business from Brigham Young University Hawaii Campus and an MBA in Finance from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He moved with his family to the Los Angeles area in 1986 where they lived and worked for 15 years before relocating to Porterville in 2001. Ken enjoys the advantages of residing in a smaller town and is an enthusiastic participant in the continued growth and progression of Bank of the Sierra.
