For over thirty years, Ken has established a singularly successful and distinguished career in the Food and Beverage Hospitality Industry. He previously held senior management positions with both ARAMARK and the Volume Services Division of Interstate United Corporation. During his tenure with Volume Services, he served as the Eastern Division Vice President with responsibility for accounts in Baltimore, Tampa, Jacksonville, and several arenas and convention centers as well as the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Ken was also personally responsible for the coordination and supervision of the food, beverage and novelty merchandise services at Super Bowl XVIII at Tampa Stadium.
Prior to forming Ovations Food Services, LP, Ken was president of his own company and operated the food and beverage services at the Cajundome and the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana. He also founded New Vista Services, Inc., a company that provided food service to recreation facilities. In those companies, he was responsible for the installation and operation of the food service at the Orlando Arena, the Citrus Bowl Stadium, Harbor Park, and the new ballparks in Rochester and Syracuse, New York as well as a host of other facilities.
Through his tenure, Ken has oversaw and managed the merchandise services for team and clients across all leagues. He supervised the Baltimore Orioles merchandise at both Memorial Stadium and a special store in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. He has also been involved in the Houston Astros merchandise at their Spring Training site in Kissimmee, Florida. Ken also owns the Norfolk Tides and the Albuquerque Isotopes and therefore oversees the merchandise operations at both facilities. He will have a direct oversight into the development of the merchandise services at Hohokam.
Ken is also President of the Norfolk Tides AAA Baseball Club and the Albuquerque Isotopes AAA Baseball Club. Under Ken’s leadership, the Norfolk Tides were named professional baseball’s 1993 Franchise of the Year and received the Freitas AAA Franchise of the Year Award for 1994.
As president of Ovations Food Services, LP, Ken provides not only the vision and the proactive leadership required for a successful, growth oriented service company, but he is the conscience of the organization as well.
