Ken Tighe has extensive experience in healthcare and a talent for building new ventures and growing existing ones. Since joining Care Fusion as CEO in 2002, he has set the company's strategic goals, served as chief spokesperson, and brought his strong financial and marketing background to bear in terms of helping to mature the company quickly, grow its customer base exponentially and make it financially secure despite tough competition. Prior to Care Fusion, Tighe spent many years as a successful software executive in northern Virginia. In 1994, he founded Radian Systems, a software developer and systems integrator, serving as its president and CEO until its 1999 sale to Sequoia Software. He served as executive vice president of Sequoia, a leading developer of XML-based healthcare and enterprise portals, and actively participated in Sequoia's $33 million venture round in 1999, successful IPO in May 2000, and 2001 sale to Citrix Systems, a global leader in application server software and services. A member of HIMSS, Tighe earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing at the University of Maryland in College Park. |
