PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Ayster has 10 years of environmental experience and provides SCS Field Services (SCS-FS) with hands-on landfill gas design, construction, operations, maintenance, and monitoring capabilities. Prior to joining SCS-FS he served as Project Engineer/Manager, and was responsible for reviewing the technical completeness of landfill gas, leachate extraction, and cover system designs. Mr. Ayster provided on-site engineering/project management for landfill gas and leachate extraction system design and construction projects. He also coordinated/ managed outside consultants working on the landfill gas control, landfill seismicity, and thermal destruction facility projects. Mr. Ayster has oversight experience having managed personnel involved in ongoing construction and maintenance projects, including significant interface with EPA and EPA representatives.

Mr. Ayster also served as construction/process engineer on landfill gas and leachate extraction system projects. He was responsible for the preparation of Piping and Instrumentations Diagrams (P&IDs), calculations for sizing and selection of equipment and piping, preparation and submittal of permit applications to air pollution control districts and preparation of mechanical and electrical drawings and construction specifications. Mr. Ayster was acting construction manager for New Cure, Inc., at the OII Landfill (Superfund Site). In this role, he was responsible for the management of field forces, contractors, and subcontractors in the construction of landfill/leachate management systems.

Mr. Ayster successfully designed and permitted the addition of five flares (27 MM Btu/hour each), two blowers, and a knock-out drum to the currently operating City of Los Angeles Lopez Canyon Landfill flare station in Lakeview Terrace, California. He served as principal design engineer for six landfill gas extraction systems and flare stations for the County of San Diego. He also designed and/or wrote close-out reports for over 10 projects at the OII Landfill.

Examples of Relevant Experience

Project Manager at the Scholl Canyon Landfill Gas Compressor Facility, Glendale, California

Mr. Ayster provides project management for the landfill gas compression facility in which over 9 million cubic feet per day of landfill gas is compressed and transmitted through a pipeline approximately 5-1/2 miles long to a City of Glendale power plant. In addition this plant contains a 6000 gallon per day condensate treatment facility for which SCS Field Services, Inc. built as a design-build project with Mr. Ayster as the Project Manager.

*Site Engineer/ Project Manager at the OII Landfill Superfund Site, Monterey Park California

Mr. Ayster provided on-site engineering/ project management for landfill gas and leachate extraction system design and construction projects. Mr. Ayster served as principal design engineer for the LFG collection system and flare stations for the Forster Canyon Landfill, Orange County, California. This system was designed to enable a housing development to be constructed less than 100 feet from the refuse boundary.
