Keith Monda has been Chief Operating Officer of Coach for three years, and a member of Coach's board of directors since June 1, 2000. He was named President in May 2002.
Since joining Coach as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in June 1998, Mr. Monda has spearheaded efforts required to help transform the company from a manufacturer to a marketing company, implementing a global sourcing strategy that has enabled Coach to profitably expand its product offering. Mr. Monda was also the lead negotiator for Coach Inc. in the development of the joint venture with Sumitomo in Tokyo, Coach Japan Inc., and is Chairman of that entity's Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Coach, Mr. Monda held the position of Senior Vice President, Operations at Timberland Company from 1996 to 1998, having been promoted after three years as Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Monda is credited with leading an operating and financial turnaround during his tenure at Timberland.
Mr. Monda previously served as Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration at J.Crew from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that he held senior level financial positions with a number of Pfizer businesses over his 16 year career with the company.
Mr. Monda holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Ohio State University. |
