Mr. Ecke joined Wisconsin Energy in 1985 as an analyst in the Corporate Secretary department and has held several positions within the company involving compliance and ethics, corporate governance, board services and stockholder services. In May of 2001, he was appointed assistant corporate secretary of Wisconsin Energy Corp., as well as of Wisconsin Electric and Wisconsin Gas.
Prior to joining Wisconsin Energy, Mr. Ecke was a marketing manager for Telephone & Data Systems, an independent telecommunications holding company in Madison, Wisconsin.
Mr. Ecke holds a bachelor's degree in management and marketing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has earned the Certified Compensation Professional designation and certificates in Executive Compensation and Salary Administration from the American Compensation Association.
Additionally, Mr. Ecke is a member of Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, American Compensation Association, Ethics and Compliance Officer Association, and Shareholder Services Association, Inc. He is also a director of the American Red Cross - Greater Milwaukee Chapter.
