Practice Area Intellectual Property Practice Description Mr. Nowak has extensive experience in intellectual property litigation in the Federal District Courts, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims as well as all aspects of practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Nowak is heavily engaged in matters involving complex electrical/electronic systems, and computer technology. He also is involved in rendering validity and infringement opinions in areas of advanced technology, technology transfer, and licensing, and has negotiated numerous international license agreements in the areas of patents, trademarks, and software. Mr. Nowak spent 8 years at Bell Telephone Laboratories, first as a Member of the Technical Staff and later as patent counsel preparing and prosecuting patent applications. Mr. Nowak also has extensive experience in Asia involving IP matters. Prior to joining the Firm, he was a founding member of Lieberman & Nowak LLP, an intellectual property boutique firm in New York.
