Keith D. Nosbusch was appointed chairman and chief executive officer of Rockwell Automation in February 2004.Prior to this appointment Nosbusch served as the president of Rockwell Automation Control Systems and as an officer of the corporation positions he held since November 1998. Nosbusch previously served as senior vice president Control and Information Group. In that position he was responsible for the launching of ControlLogixT Rockwell Automation's premier integrated control and information platform. Nosbusch's career began in 1974 when he joined Allen-Bradley as an application engineer and later that year was promoted to controls engineer. In 1978 he was named marketing development specialist in the Industrial Control Division. In 1980 Nosbusch became senior market planner Corporate Planning and in 1982 was appointed manager of business planning for the Motion Control Division. In 1983 he was named manager of the division's AC drives projects and later was appointed development engineering manager for this division. In 1985 he was promoted to director of product planning and development for the division. In 1988 Nosbusch was named vice president Presence Sensing Automation Group. During his tenure this business unit grew over 10 percent per year. In 1994 he was named vice president Control Logix Automation Group where he focused the business on global growth and positioned it to compete more effectively in the open architecture market. Nosbusch earned a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Nosbusch is a director of Manitowoc Co. He also sits on the board of the Greater Milwaukee Committee and Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. He is actively involved with the Manufacturers' Alliance (MAPI) as a member of its board of trustees; and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association where he sits on the board of governors. Nosbusch serves on the advisory council of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Business. Nosbusch also serves on the board of trustees of the Boys & Girls Club of Milwaukee.

He served as Senior Vice President and President Rockwell Automation Control Systems from November 1998 until February 2004. Mr. Nosbusch is a director of The Manitowoc Company Inc. and serves as a director or member of a number of business civic and community organizations.
