Mr. Ke Zhang is the business founder and leader of Shandong Jinpeng Group, and as such plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations and development of the largest and fastest growing, vertically integrated copper and steel operations in China. Mr. Zhang, with his vision to create a fully integrated enterprise increasingly focused on high value-added world quality metallurgical production, provides the foundation for long term growth and strategic development of the Group. His ongoing role will be to provide key strategic guidance and direction to the Group’s operations, and leadership to TNRL as a board member.
Mr. Zhang’s work and dedication was instrumental in bringing the present operations to the level they are at today. Also crucial to this success has been the team Mr. Zhang has nurtured, developed and inspired, with most key management having been with him since the early years.
Subsequent to his graduation from the Shandong Economic Institute in 1983, Mr. Zhang worked for five years as the Business Manager at Zouping Petrochemical Parts Company. However, recognizing a unique opportunity to capitalize on China’s burgeoning economy, which was then just beginning its now massive growth, Mr. Zhang founded the Shandong Jinpeng Copper Company. Originally focused on the collection of scrap copper for resale, over the years he rapidly expanded operations by adding copper refining capabilities, the further integrated by producing copper tubing, wiring and foil. Most recently, Mr. Zhang has expanded the scope of the operations by constructing one of the most advanced Stainless Steel facilities in China.
In addition to his business success, Mr. Zhang has received a number of awards for his contributions to the community and the country, including the Labour Model of Shandong Province, awarded by the Shandong Provincial government, and was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Youth of Shandong Province by the Shandong Provincial Government Party Committee. |
