Phillips joined The ATEK Companies in 2001 as its President and helped launch ATEK Medical Manufacturing in 2003. Her responsibilities include strategic development, growth and overall management of operations. Prior to joining The ATEK Companies, she held various positions at Praxair, a spin-off of Union Carbide, as Vice President / General Manager of the Healthcare Division, VP of Distribution Business, VP Global Procurement & Materials Management, and VP Global Reengineering, Safety and Quality. Phillips has more than 25 years experience in manufacturing.
Phillips is an expert in lean manufacturing when applied to both manufacturing and administrative processes of the business, identifying waste and implementing improvements that result in significant savings in cycle time and money.
Under Phillips’ leadership, and through joint partnership efforts with ATEK's customers and suppliers, the Supply Chain Team implemented a plan to reduce inventory, increase inventory turns, improve quality and reduce shipping costs. ATEK Medical Manufacturing won Medtronic Cardiac Surgery’s Partner Supplier of the Year in 2003 for its efforts.
Phillips earned her B.S., magna cum laude in math and education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She earned a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma. Phillips is a member of the Women’s President’s Organization and founded the Twin Cities chapter. Phillips also is a member of the Dunwoody College Board. |
