She also has extensive experience defending employers in ERISA lawsuits. She has created and revised employment documents, including handbooks, applications, sexual harassment policies, drug testing, and absenteeism policies. She has also conducted workshops on employment-related topics such as harassment investigations, violence in the workplace, and hiring and firing issues.Ms. Butler specializes in the defense of Professional Liability (Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Attorneys, Architects & Engineers, Accountants, Directors & Officers, Insurance Agents / Brokers and Real Estate Brokers) claims, commercial litigation and insurance coverage disputes.Ms. Butler received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983 from Michigan State University and her Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from Detroit College of Law in 1988. Later that year, she was admitted to practice in Michigan courts and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.
