Kathy Feeny was named executive vice president of PacifiCare's Secure Horizons division in January 2002. In this position, she is responsible for the overall profit and loss as well as for sales and marketing for all of the company's current and new senior business, including Medicare Advantage HMO and Medicare Supplement insurance plans, Secure Horizons USA (SHUSA) and other health, financial and lifestyle services designed especially for seniors.
Prior to her promotion, Feeny served as senior vice president of Secure Horizons in charge of all sales, marketing, brand awareness and member-retention efforts for Secure Horizons' Medicare Advantage HMO program companywide. In February 2001, she was chosen to spearhead the company's new Secure Horizons Medicare Supplement plans enterprisewide.
Previously, Feeny held the position of vice president of sales & marketing for Secure Horizons in California. While she held that position, she led Secure Horizons' successful integration of FHP members and implemented an aggressive retention program throughout California.
Feeny joined PacifiCare of California in November 1993 as director of Medi-Cal sales and launched an innovative, start-up sales and marketing operation. As senior vice president for Secure Horizons Medicare Advantage, she was accountable for strategy and implementation for enterprisewide membership growth, including sales, retention and marketing. And most recently, she served as senior vice president, Medicare Supplement, leading the strategic development and 2001 launch of the Individual Medicare Supplement plans enterprisewide.
Prior to joining PacifiCare, Feeny spent 18 years at Allergan Inc., a Calif.-based pharmaceutical company, in various sales and marketing management positions. She is a graduate of Manhattanville College with bachelor of arts degrees in biology and psychology. |
