Kathryn Winkelhaus has served as the Chief Operating Officer at Learning Care Group since September 16, 2003.
Winkelhaus previously served for 23 years at Borders Group Inc., most recently as a member of the Executive Committee and the President of Merchandising and Distribution. Winkelhaus held various positions at Borders, including President, Borders Group Stores; President, Waldenbooks Stores; and Senior Vice President, Store Operations-Waldenbooks.
Born in Springfield, Ohio in 1956, Winkelhaus holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. She has been active in numerous organizations promoting children’s literacy, including Reading Is Fundamental.
