Kathleen is a covenant agency director representing the Church of the Brethren.
Currently, Kathleen lives in Sykesville, Maryland, and serves as Director of Public Relations and Hospitality at the Brethren Service Center in New Windsor, Maryland. Having held several communications positions at the Center since 1993, she is responsible for handling media relations, writing and publication management, event planning, and community outreach. Her duties also include leadership for the New Windsor Conference Center management team.
The Brethren Service Center, owned and operated by the Church of the Brethren General Board, houses nonprofit organizations that work in areas of relief and development, disaster response, social justice, peace education and hospitality. Kathleen’s past experience includes a partnership in a public relations and communications firm.
Her work with Heifer International began in 1993 coordinating public information with the Mid Atlantic Regional office which was then located in New Windsor, Maryland. Kathleen participated in HPI’s Gender Equity conference in Mexico and is currently serving as the Chair of the Covenant Agency committee. International experience includes field visits to health care facilities Haiti and Tanzania on behalf of Interchurch Medical Assistance, an ecumenical agency at the Brethren Service Center.
Kathleen received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama and a public relations management certificate from Goucher College in Baltimore. She is also on the Board of Directors of Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
Kathleen is married to Vincent and has two sons, Nick and Frank. |
