Ms. Koppenhoefer is an associate in Dykema's litigation department. She has had significant experience representing corporations and individuals in a variety of commercial contract, tort, and intellectual property disputes, with a focus on complex consumer finance class action litigation. In addition, Ms. Kopppenhoefer has a strong background in defending employers in all varieties of discrimination lawsuits and other employment disputes.
Experience
Ms. Koppenhoefer's recent representations include:
Assisted in obtaining a jury verdict in favor of a national client in a federal design patent trial involving the design patents of cookware products;
Successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of school district client in a Title VII age and reverse gender discrimination claim that is currently on appeal in the Seventh Circuit;
Assisted in the defense of a commercial lender in a matter involving the government's attempt to use criminal forfeiture proceedings to take property in which the lender had a recorded interest.
