A native of Florence, Mississippi, Kathy is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting. While attending USM she interned with a local firm, where she prepared income tax returns and quarterly payroll reports. After graduation, Kathy moved to Vicksburg and worked in the public accounting sector as a staff accountant, providing tax and audit services to small businesses. Kathy later worked for a local CPA firm specializing in providing tax, financial, and consulting services to clients in the construction industry. As a member of GranthamPoole's tax, construction, real estate, and oil and gas teams, Kathy's responsibilities include income tax planning and tax return preparation for corporate, individual, partnership and nonprofit entities. She serves clients representing a wide range of industries, including transportation, real estate, manufacturing and construction. Kathy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of CPAs. She and her husband, Steven, and their two children reside in Madison and are active members of First Baptist Church of Madison. |
