Katherine B. She has substantial experience defending corporate clients against allegations of fraud (including a multi-district class action lawsuit) and in litigation involving False Claims Act allegations. Her client counseling in government investigations includes actions by the Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition to her work involving business crimes, Kate handles energy-related disputes and other commercial litigation. Kate also helps victims of domestic violence obtain and enforce restraining orders in district, probate and superior courts and in related criminal proceedings. In one matter, she was involved in the successful appeal of a district court order compelling production of the victim’s medical records to her abuser. During law school, Kate worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Joyce London Alexander, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and at the Solicitor’s Office for the City of Newton, Massachusetts.
