Kate Patterson is vice president investor relations for Websense Inc. With more than fifteen years of investor relations experience Patterson brings a diversified range of corporate and strategic communications expertise to her position. During her career she has provided investor relations counsel for organizations ranging from pre-IPO technology companies to Fortune 500 corporations.
Prior to joining Websense Patterson served as vice president investor relations for Peregrine Systems Inc. a publicly traded software company that provides infrastructure management solutions. Before Peregrine Patterson held the position of executive director investor relations for Informix Corp. an enterprise software company. At Informix she achieved a three-fold increase in institutional ownership and a 600 percent increase in market capitalization during a period of declining Wall Street expectations and management transition.
Patterson also spent 10 years at 3Com Corporation where she served nine years in investor relations. During her tenure she managed an award-winning investor relations program through multiple product/industry growth cycles contributing to an increase in market capitalization from less than $500 million to more than $8 billion. Her successes at 3Com included the increase of sell-side coverage by 25 analysts and institutional ownership from less than 60 institutions to more than 350. She also received the "Best Turnaround IR Program" award from Institutional Investor magazine in 1992. |
