Karl Leaverton was named president of the Private Client Group's West division in January 2006. Mr. Leaverton oversees the Northwest, West and South regions, excluding the Southeastern states, and drives strategy, recruiting and revenue growth initiatives in the division. Mr. Leaverton joined RBC Dain Rauscher in 1993 as director of the firm's Northwest region, overseeing all investment activities and service to individual investors and small businesses in the region. At that time, he also served as branch manager of the firm's office in Portland. He was named head of the Midwest region in 1996 and director of the Western region in 1999. Before coming to RBC Dain Rauscher, Mr. Leaverton served as branch manager of Prudential Securities in Fresno, CA, Portland and Seattle. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, and a master's degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. |
