Karl primary focus is commercial business and finance law. He advises financial institutions, investors and corporate borrowers on a wide variety of financing transactions, including syndicated financings, secured financings, acquisition financings, asset based loans, securitizations, structured financings, mezzanine placements, private placements, factoring transactions, letters of credit and other credit enhancement devices. Karl also represents creditors and debtors in pre bankruptcy restructurings, reorganizations and workouts. Additionally, he works closely with corporate clients in structuring and negotiating complex commercial transactions, including domestic and international supply and distribution agreements, purchase contracts, joint ventures and technology agreements. Karl is an active member of the American, Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations. He has been listed as one of America’s Leading Lawyers by Chambers USA for Banking and Finance law. He was described as very intelligent, reasonable and a careful lawyer. Chambers also said that peers describe him as a hard worker, who definitely has a bright future ahead of him.
