Dr. Karl-Gerhard Eick born in 1954 studied business administration in Augsburg where he earned his doctorate in 1982.
Until 1988 he was employed in various positions at BMW in Munich most recently as head of Controlling in the Chairman's division. Dr. Eick moved onto WMF in Geislingen in 1989 as Head of Controlling until 1991. He then worked for the Carl Zeiss Group in Oberkochen until 1993.
From 1993 to 1999 Eick worked for the Franz Haniel & Cie GmbH in Duisburg. From 1993 to 1998 he was a member of the Board of Management of the Gehe AG in Stuttgart which is member of the Haniel Group. He moved to the holding company Franz Haniel & Cie from 1998 to 1999 responsible for the finance division.
Karl-Gerhard Eick has been a member of Deutsche Telekom's Board of Management since January 2000 and is head of the Finance division. Since 2004 Eick has been Deputy Chairman of Deutsche Telekom AG. |
