Karen Tramel has been actively involved in Allied Capital’s business for many years, performing contract work in a variety of areas including project management, marketing activities, and assisting Allied’s management team. Karen has recently accepted the role of Allied Capital’s Community Banking Specialist, selling factoring services and calling on the smaller, community bank network in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Karen is also responsible for helping develop and coordinate Allied’s marketing efforts, including the Allied Insights newsletter and the Recent Fundings Tombstone, among others. Most recently, Karen was an integral part of redesigning and rebuilding Allied’s website. She has played an instrumental role in changing the face of Allied and broadening the avenues through which business/referrals are generated. Prior to her contract work with Allied, Karen worked for a large health system in Fort Worth where she began as a Physicians Relations Representative and was quickly promoted to Physician Relations/Network Development Manager. In that role, she managed the health system’s Physician Relations Department and oversaw the managed care contracting process for a 500 member physician group, reviewing, analyzing and negotiating managed care contracts on their behalf. Karen called on the physician sector to promote the use of the health system’s facilities and to create awareness of the services offered, and she also identified opportunities for physician recruitment, employment and practice acquisition. Karen has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas in Austin as well as a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Texas Woman’s University. |
