Karen is an entrepreneur and early-stage company professional with over 25 years of business and corporate development experience in financial services, information technology and energy related services in the US and eastern Europe. Having developed the first information & communications network targeting a $400B global commodity chemical market, Karen lead the company she co-founded through a successful acquisition of the industry’s leading trading platform and concurrent Series A/B financing of $10M followed by subsequent rounds of venture capital and strategic investments totaling approximately $50M. At Generating Assets Karen founded the company and lead a team of professionals through initial development of over $20M of solar projects in California prior to the company’s acquisition by Envision Solar where she is now President. At Envision Solar, Karen oversees the development of the GreenShade Network, an industry services business & ecommerce platform being created to facilitate financing solutions for solar projects, provide subscription, member and sponsorship services, derivative products, and financing solutions for Envision Solar’s proprietary systems (e.g. LifePort). Karen received her BA in biology from Boston University in 1982.
