As the Managing Director of BTM Academy, Karen Healy is responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of all development and educational programs offered to meet the needs of today's global leaders. The BTM Academy is a centralized leadership development source for business technology convergence and management. BTM Academy's programs teach and assess cutting-edge management techniques that address the challenges of innovating new business models. Karen works closely with leading universities, research groups and event companies to ensure the delivery excellence of all BTM Academy offerings.
Karen has over twenty years experience in the information technology consulting and advisory industry. Her extensive business background includes research and publishing management as well as event development, production and marketing. As one of the first 7 employees at Gartner, she was involved in all aspects of transitioning the business from "start up" to a $ 1 billion entity which included developing hiring, training and development programs and the development and management of joint ventures and alliances to enable growth into new markets. As Vice President of Worldwide Events she created the flagship Gartner Symposium and ITxpo, which since 1991 have grown to be unrivalled in their reach and reputation, as well as a series of targeted theme conferences that are still widely attended some 15-20 years after their inception.
Following Gartner, she was responsible for building and managing a secondary research organization at Giga Information Group, later moving into the role of Vice President, Worldwide Events. Ms Foreman she was the former Vice President of North American Events for Forrester Research after it's acquisition of Giga in 2003. |
