Karen has been a part of the healthcare industry for decades, creating a diverse career based on her experience in various hospital departments. She brings her firsthand knowledge of fiscal operations and reporting, hospital and physician billing, statistical analysis, and thinking outside of the box skills to her leadership position as Corazon’s President. Working in cardiovascular consulting for the past nine years, Karen has led countless feasibility studies and implementations ranging from cardiac cath labs and heart hospitals, to developing strategic plans for the full range of cardiovascular services. She has created a financial sensitivity testing model and developed capacity and hospital staffing models used at Corazon to provide clients an advantage over their competition. She understands the best ways to create hospital/physician partnerships that work in today’s changing regulatory climate, bringing experience in creating solid joint venture and management service agreements. Her broad experiences in operations and human resources make her a strong force in both financial and people management, and her strategic thinking and big-picture perspective gives significance to her tactical knowledge of what it takes to achieve goals. She leads the company sales efforts and oversees the development and performance of the Corazon staff of Heart & Vascular Experts, while oftentimes working directly with clients to ensure efficient and cost-effective transactions and innovative and competitive solutions in the creation of outstanding cardiovascular programs. |
