Karen has over 25 years of corporate high-tech experience including 18 years in Human Resources. She has valuable hands-on knowledge with building human resource infrastructures in solo professional roles as well as executive team experience leading established HR operations. With excellent generalist expertise, Karen consults with firms in a variety of industries addressing their human resource needs.
Karen has worked primarily with small- to mid-size companies in Silicon Valley, successfully integrating a variety of cultures in start-up environments and emerging companies from pre-IPO through IPO. In addition, Karen has successfully managed change during corporate mergers and acquisitions.
Working with senior management teams where her contributions are highly visible, Karen develops and implements employment lifecycle processes, performance management systems, employee retention and benefit programs, as well as areas of compliance with policy development and training.
Most recently, Karen was Director of Staffing & Organizational Development at an emerging enterprise software development firm in Silicon Valley. Karen’s professional affiliations include her active membership in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the California Employer Advisory Council. She was the Northern California Human Resource Association (NCHRA) Vice President and Program Director for three years. |
