Prior to joining Antigenics in 2004, Karen Higgins Valentine was an associate in the biotechnology practice of Palmer & Dodge LLP (now Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge LLP). While at the law firm, she provided corporate law services to a broad range of both public and private corporations, and developed an expertise in the areas of licensing and strategic collaborations, including negotiating one of the top five product licensing deals in the industry in 2004. Since joining Antigenics, Ms. Valentine has played an integral role in developing and managing the legal department, advising colleagues on key legal issues throughout the organization, and participating in strategic planning for the company. Ms. Valentine graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Colgate University, and received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. Ms. Valentine has been recognized as a Rising Star Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine since 2005. |
