Julia Young has always been drawn to children's stories and animation. As a child, she worked her way through any books of fairytales and folktales she could get her hands on. She was also deeply moved by beautiful animated films from around the world. She grew up believing in the power of stories, and their ability to inspire and shape people's perceptions of the world and themselves.
Maybe that's why Julia jumped at the chance to intern at FableVision in January 2007. She immediately fell in love with the creative and caring staff, people who reach out to all learners through imaginative stories, animation and educational software. While working on projects for the FableVision Education Team, Julia had the opportunity to see how children benefited from FableVision's educational products. She admired FableVision's devotion to helping children discover and appreciate their unique learning styles and abilities. Knowing that she wanted to help FableVision achieve its mission, she was thrilled to join the FableVision Education Team in July 2007.
As a member of the FableVision Education Team, Julia does a little bit of everything, including assisting customers, shipping, providing tech support, managing inventory, working on outreach campaigns and editing sales collaterals. If you call the Education Team's main line, you will probably hear Julia pick up!
Julia earned her B.A. in Arts Administration from Simmons College in 2007, where she explored her interests in studio art, animation, business and marketing. She enjoys creating artwork and animation in her spare time. |
