As president of international business at Blackboard, Juan leads the company’s sales and marketing efforts to attract, retain and service academic institutions around the globe.
Juan comes to Blackboard with more than twenty years of experience in international software sales and business development at a variety of global enterprise software companies. Prior to joining Blackboard, he served as vice president of international operations at XML-Partners Inc., currently a fully owned subsidiary of SOFTWARE AG which delivers enterprise software solutions across the world.
Before his position at XML, Juan served as the director of sales for Telispark, Inc. (a subsidiary of Deloitte Consulting), which sells mobile software solutions to Global 2000 companies. He also worked as the director of international operations at SAGA Software International, Inc, and as a database professor at a university in Venezuela.
Juan earned his Masters in Business Administration and a degree in systems engineering while studying in Caracas, Venezuela, his native country. |
