Mr. Eckroth (47) joined New Century Financial Corporation in July 2005 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In January 2006, the company expanded his responsibilities to serve as Executive Vice President of New Century Financial Corporation and Chief Operating Officer of New Century Mortgage Corporation, the company's largest subsidiary. Prior to joining New Century, Mr. Eckroth was the Chief Information Officer of Mattel, Inc., where his efforts contributed to Mattel's 2003 recognition by CIO Magazine as one of the country's 100 most resourceful IT organizations and by Business Week Magazine as one of the top 50 Web-savvy companies. Prior to joining Mattel, he served as the Chief Information Officer for two divisions of General Electric Co. and held several senior management positions with Northrop Grumman Corporation. Mr. Eckroth received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of LaVerne and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University School of Business and Management. |
