Joseph E. Heid has been a member of the UST Board of Directors since February 2003. He is chairman of the Audit Committee and serves as a member of the Nominating & Corporate Governance and Strategic Review Committees.
Mr. Heid is former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Esprit de Corp. He was president of Revlon International, responsible for all international operations from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Heid served as senior vice president of Sara Lee Corporation and president and chief executive officer of Sara Lee Personal Products - North and South America. He was with Sara Lee from 1992 to 1997.
Prior to joining Sara Lee, Mr. Heid served as president of Guinness America and executive vice president and chief operating officer of United Distillers - North America. Additionally, he was with Playtex Inc. as vice president and chief financial officer and senior vice president and chief operating officer at Chartcom Inc.
Mr. Heid began his career as a certified public accountant for Deloitte, Haskins and Sells in New York after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from St. John's University. |
