Joseph A. Zaccagnino is the recently retired President and Chief Executive Officer of the Yale New Haven Health System and Yale-New Haven Hospital. Mr. Zaccagnino held that position since 1991. In 1996 he led the development and formation of the Yale New Haven Health System, bringing together Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, and Yale-New Haven Hospital under a parent holding company, which is the largest health care system in Connecticut. He has served on the Boards of numerous community service and healthcare industry corporations.
Mr. Zaccagnino joined the Board of Directors of New Haven Savings Bank in 1992. His term on the NewAlliance Board expires at the 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
