Joseph A. Crivelli, a partner at Friedman LLP, specializes in the area of real estate. He works extensively with commercial and residential real estate developers, owners, investors, syndicators, and management companies. He consults on compliance, accounting and tax issues that impact the real estate industry. Joe is particularly involved in working with developers, financial institutions and investors in the affordable housing industry, where his areas of expertise include: Working with all types of housing and financial assistance programs, including low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bond-financed transactions, Section 236 IRP Decoupling, and HUD and State Agency Programs Consulting on the compliance requirements of affordable housing projects In addition, Joe specializes in the area of SEC reporting. He provides consulting, accounting, and auditing services to a number of publicly held companies and Has worked on various initial public offerings, reverse mergers, acquisitions and private placements Consults on and oversees SEC compliance requirements with respect to financial reporting Works with various broker dealers on their reporting compliance to the N.A.S.D. Prior to joining Friedman, Joe worked in private industry for five years, primarily at a major financial services company. He became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1987.
