Jose Manuel Garrido B. has been the Manager of Infraestructure and Financial Regulation in the Central Bank of Chile since May 2001.
Prior to this he worked for different financial institutions and the capital market as Deputy Manager of Risk Analysis at the Bancosorno (Bank of Osorno), Manager of Financial Studies at AFP Provida S.A., Manager of Studies and Projects with CorpGroup S.A. and General Manager of the Association of Mutual Fund Managers (Asociación de Administradoras de Fondos Mutuos AG).
Mr. Garrido has also taught macroeconomics and finance at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Chile, where he was also Academic Director, as he was at the Andrés Bello University as well.
He has also done research and published several studies on monetary and financial subjects.
He has an Honors Degree in commerce from the University of Chile, an MBA from the University of Chicago and doctoral studies at this same university. |
