Mr. Wintermans has held a number of executive positions in the financial services, retail, manufacturing and distribution sectors.
He began his career in 1976 with General Foods Canada Ltd. as a Senior Product Manager. From 1978 to 1986 he held the following positions: Director of Marketing at Standard Brands Canada Inc.; Vice-President, Marketing at Bristol Myers Products Canada Inc.; and Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing for American Express Canada Inc. From 1988 to 1995, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Canadian Tire Acceptance Ltd. and in 1996, he was named Senior Vice-President, Diversified Business for its parent company, Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC). In recent years, he served as CEO for Rogers Cable in 1997, Skyjack from 1999-2001 and Sodisco-Howden Group from 2001-2004. Effective November 15, 2005, Jos was appointed President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director of Cygnal Technologies. Mr. Wintermans is also the Chairman of the Junior Achievement of Canada Foundation, a non-profit organization. |
