Responsible for loan delivery product development and implementation, consumer and product marketing, and E-Commerce initiatives. Assumed role of senior vice president in 2004. Joined Sallie Mae in 2000 as part of the company's acquisition of USA Group. From 1990 through 2000, held various positions in management at USA Group, including leading business design teams for the new loan servicing system in the early 1990s, then for the company's loan origination and guarantee system in the mid 1990s. In late 1990s, led E-Business initiatives to Web-enable the company's loan processing capabilities and created the company's first premier consumer-oriented Web offering. Beginning in 1981, served in management at the Virginia Education Loan Authority, holding leadership positions in collections, servicing and information services. |
