Dr. Jon Wren is a Principal Engineer and Exponent’s Civil Engineering Practice Director. Dr. Wren specializes in geotechnical and earthquake engineering. His expertise includes static and dynamic soil properties analysis of soil-structure interaction foundation and retaining structure analysis and design slope performance and failures and slope stability analysis. Dr. Wren also has experience with the evaluation of failures following natural disasters such as flooding and earthquakes and the development of investigative protocols and repair methodologies. His background includes site characterization of soil properties and the analysis design and performance of dams levees pipelines temporary excavation support systems and foundations constructed on expansive soils. Dr. Wren has been an Instructor in the Civil Engineering Department at Stanford University and a part-time faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics at San Jose State University. |
