Mr. Lutz joined UQM Technologies, Inc. in 1993 as a Motor Design Engineer and assumed the additional responsibility of Director of Engineering in 2000. Mr. Lutz is responsible for all engineering activities of the Company including motor engineering, electronic and software engineering and vehicle integration engineering. Mr. Lutz has authored and published numerous technical papers, has taught courses on motors and controllers, and is the inventor or co-inventor on several of the Company’s patents.
Before joining UQM, Mr. Lutz worked with Manufacturing Engineering at Micro Motion, a division of Emerson Electric. He was also a Power Distribution Analyst at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR).
Mr. Lutz earned Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1991 and 1993 respectively from the University of Colorado. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. |
