Jon Walton is a trial technology consultant and site coordinator in the firm’s Client Technology Services department. He has worked in the legal field since 1987, and he has significant hot seat courtroom experience and involvement in multi-million-dollar cases. Jon is a certified legal video specialist and has participated in hundreds of depositions, remote site documentations and undercover video surveillance assignments. Additionally, Jon has an insider’s knowledge of the litigation process, based on his experience as a paralegal at another law firm, where he was responsible for all personal injury clients from the initial interview, investigation and damage demand to the final negotiation or preparation and filing of the petition. At Faegre & Benson, Jon assists attorneys in preparation for litigation events, arbitration proceedings, hearings or trials. He has extensive knowledge of trial presentation software and databases, including Sanction, Trial Director, LiveNote, Summation and Pinnacle, and he provides in-court presentation services, as well as training and support, to help litigators use these and other tools to increase the effectiveness of their presentations. Jon also provides on-site technical support at trial. He has set up war rooms and courtroom technology in various locations and rural sites across the United States. While working on-site, he identifies options for office, housing or hotel accommodations; negotiates leases and contracts; and plans and implements the necessary technology infrastructure, furnishings, equipment and other site-specific amenities. |
