John graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas business. His career started with Amoco Production as an operations and reservoir engineer for West Texas secondary recovery projects. After leaving Amoco, John worked with small to mid-sized independents in staff, management, or sole-engineer positions. John has experience in well site drilling, operations, as well as, identifying and exploiting field development opportunities in a variety of reservoirs throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Beginning in the late-90’s as a reservoir engineering consultant in the DFW area, he worked with client companies or individuals purchasing and developing producing properties and assisted them in obtaining various forms of financing for these activities. Prior to joining Broad Oak in November, 2006, John worked for Chief Oil and Gas as a reservoir engineer in the development and subsequent divestiture of a large Barnett Shale position. |
