Served as interim business office director for a Centralized Business Office for a three-hospital system with approximately $1.5B in revenue annually. As interim director he increased cash collection over prior years implemented management strategies performance measures improved reporting and renegotiated vendor contracts.
Led successful cash acceleration and a redesign project team for a mutli-facility academic health system in the southeast reducing account receivables by $100M while increasing cash by $42M. During this engagement he executed revenue cycle performance improvement initiatives including payor claims reviews denial analyses managed care contract assessment and process re-engineering efforts designed to increase cash within the organization.
Served as interim director for a large physician foundation (400 physicians) in the Midwest. As Interim Director he increased cash receipts while reducing accounts receivables and measurable backlogs throughout the department.
Worked with an academic medical center in the Midwest to assist in the consolidation of two business offices into one system and one facility. This project included a redesign of the business and development of detailed policy and procedures for the entire business office. John has also led and worked closely with software implementation teams for an academic medical center in the southeast specializing in back-end business office processes and testing including the development of test plans and scenarios.
