John Griffing is Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Lead Executive (CLE) with responsibility for U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps programs in the Hampton Roads, Va. region.
Mr. Griffing currently serves as the regional Business Development manager for the company's Integrated Systems sector in the Hampton Roads area. In this role, he helps the company identify and pursue Navy customer requirements in the region.
As CLE, Mr. Griffing serves as Northrop Grumman's key point of contact with U.S. Fleet Forces Command leadership. He promotes a shared understanding of the Fleet Forces Command's current and future needs and coordinates a team approach among local Northrop Grumman business units, while focusing and helping leverage corporate resources to address those needs and maintaining a positive image of Northrop Grumman in the local community.
Mr. Griffing has been an employee of Northrop Grumman for more than 40 years. Most of his years of service were spent deployed with customers to military bases or on aircraft carriers. He holds an Associate in Science degree from The University of the State of New York.
Mr. Griffing is currently vice president of membership for the Hampton Roads Council of the Navy League. He also serves on the boards of directors of the United Service Organization of Hampton Roads, the Hampton Roads Naval Historical Foundation, the Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation and the Anchor Scholarship Foundation.
