Mr. Goddard was President and Chief Executive Officer of Viacom Cable from 1980 to 1996, preceded by staff and administrative leadership positions with CBS and Tele-Vue Systems, Inc. Nominated to the Cable Television Hall of Fame in 2004, he also received the 1989 NCTA Vanguard Award for leadership, was named "Cable Operator of the Year" in 1993, and was the honoree at the Walter Kaitz Foundation dinner in 1995. Mr. Goddard is a member of the board of directors of Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs®) and Bend Cable Communications, Inc. Goddard is a past chairman of the NCTA, past chairman and former Trustee of the Kaitz Foundation, and past president of the California Cable Television Association. From 1989-2003, he served as a director of the Deafness Research Foundation, an organization he chaired from 2001-03. |
