Jay Elliott concentrates his practice on labor and employment. He represents a number of major employers in handling employment discrimination lawsuits and claims with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and similar state agencies. He has successfully defended several large employers across the country in union campaigns (most recently in NM, MD, NY, VA, MN, and TN), labor arbitrations (CT, KS, OH, MI, and NY), and unfair labor practice charges (TN, MA, OH, and MN). He has recently defended a nationally-known casual dining restaurant chain in potential nationwide class action wage and hour litigation. He also recently defended a large soft drink bottler in a 'whistleblower case' filed by two former employees, ultimately receiving a jury verdict in the Company's favor on all six claims.
